• Are individual classes designed to connect the technique of playing an instrument with an understanding of how music works

  • Sequentially develop musical reading, writing, playing, singing, listening and composing skills

  • Provide developmentally appropriate learning for each individual

  • Support the instrumental lesson by providing the analytical skills necessary to interpret the composer's intentions

  • Are made interesting, fun and informative using a range of courses and age appropriate materials including Anna Lu's Music Bumblebees Aural and Theory workbooks; Samantha Coate's How to Blitz Theory series and selected activities from Michiko Yurko's Music Mind Games

  • Students are encouraged to complete AMEB and Trinity Guildhall Music Theory Examinations.
