Are individual classes designed to connect the technique of playing an instrument with an understanding of how music works
Sequentially develop musical reading, writing, playing, singing, listening and composing skills
Provide developmentally appropriate learning for each individual
Support the instrumental lesson by providing the analytical skills necessary to interpret the composer's intentions
Are made interesting, fun and informative using a range of courses and age appropriate materials including Anna Lu's Music Bumblebees Aural and Theory workbooks; Samantha Coate's How to Blitz Theory series and selected activities from Michiko Yurko's Music Mind Games
Students are encouraged to complete AMEB and Trinity Guildhall Music Theory Examinations.
