Focus on co-ordination, early pianistic technique, keyboard experimentation and awareness, creativity, improvisation, aural discrimination and music appreciation while developing musical fundamentals such as beat, rhythm and pitch
Initially develop Pre reading by fostering visual discrimination/perception and early reading skills such as eyes on the page, left to right, same and different, up and down. This is followed by the formal introduction of music notation
Move gradually from a combination of floor and piano activities to more time at the piano
Encourage regular parent supervised home practice (increased gradually from 5 minutes) and three way communication between the child, parent and teacher

Individual lessons typically run for 30-45 mins in duration.
