  • Make sense of sound and the written page giving students freedom to interpret a composer’s intentions
  • Support the creative process when students compose for themselves 
  • Are tailored to the needs of the individual student
  • Use a range of courses and games including Music Bumblebees Aural and Theory Workbooks by Anna Lu (for young children), How to Blitz series by Samantha Coates and Music Mind Games by Michiko Yurko.
  • Provide opportunities for students to complete A.M.E.B. or Trinity Guildhall Music Theory Examinations beginning at Grade One. (Note:  Music Theory is a pre-requisite subject for many practical instrumental examinations.  For example a pass in Theory Grade Two is required to complete a Grade Six Practical Examination).
