Welcome to Listen to the Music – Music for Life!
Research suggests that music enhances creativity and improves learning, memory and reasoning skills. Music also contributes to the development of self-expression, sensitivity and spirit. Inspired by the Kodály and Orff Schulwerk principles of music education, Listen to the Music provides stimulating instrumental education for preschool, school-aged and adult learners. The primary focus of LTTM is to develop independent musicians with a life-long love for music.

The recorder is an excellent instrument for students to explore making sound and playing in groups for the first time.
Initially it is easy to produce a pleasing sound on the recorder providing the young player with enjoyment and success. Like other woodwind instruments there are many skills and techniques involved in playing more difficult repertoire.

Theory and Musicianship is about understanding how sounds are organized in written and aural form. Musicians who are able to read and hear what they are playing are able to make sense of sound in a way that gives them the freedom to interpret a composer’s intentions. They are also able to express their own creativity by composing themselves.
